APPLICATION PROCESS
Eligibility: California residents at least 18 years of age may apply to receive partial credit towards scholarships to help pay for a beginning level HBB, HTP, HTA, or ISHA class or to attend a HT CA Annual Regional Symposium held in the state of California.
Application Process: All applications must be made via the online application at the bottom of this page. All fields must be filled in. We cannot accept addendums to any applications.
Deadlines:
- Applications must be filled out completely and submitted via the online form at the bottom of this page.
- Recipients will be notified within 2 weeks following the deadline.
- Recipients must take their class within one year or forfeit the award. Due to COVID-19 and shelter in place limitations, the one year expiration has been waived until further notice.
Evaluation Process: Applications will be evaluated by a committee of certified HT practitioners. The committee will notify the Healing Touch California (HT CA) Board of Directors of their selections. Students seeking to take a HBB, HTP, HTA, or ISHA entry level class will be selected based on their financial need and professional commitment. The application's essay questions are designed to inform the Scholarship Committee why HT is important to the applicants, how they will use their new skills to benefit their community, and their commitment to moving forward to certification. The decision of the committee is final.
Scholarship Details: Scholarships awarded are a minimum of $200 up to 50% of the tuition per student. Awardees will advise Healing Touch California of which specific class (in person or online) they intend to take and will be responsible for paying the remainder of the class tuition. Cash will not be awarded in lieu of the scholarship, and awards cannot be given or sold to others. If an awardee fails to take the class within one year (currently waived), he/she will forfeit the scholarship, which will revert back to the scholarship fund to be awarded the following year. Applications may be resubmitted during the next scholarship award cycle, if not selected. If the awardee has already taken an entry level class, the scholarship will be awarded to another applicant.
A partial credit of $100 will be awarded towards the registration a HT CA Annual Regional Symposium!
Additional Requirement: These scholarships are made possible by our generous donors. Many donors are interested in learning how the work is benefiting students and the community. We ask each scholarship recipient to write a letter within 3-6 months after completing their class or symposium outlining their progress in their HT education/studies, and how they are using HT in their community. This will allow HT CA an opportunity to let our past and future donors know how valuable their contributions are in realizing Janet Mentgen's dream of bringing Healing Touch into every home.

HEALING TOUCH SCHOLARSHIPS
Each quarter we offer credit towards one or more scholarships valued at $200 up to 50 % of the course tuition for new students taking beginner level Healing Touch classes with Healing Beyond Borders (HBB), Healing Touch Program (HTP), Healing Touch for Animals® (HTA) and the Institute of Spiritual Healing & Aromatherapy (ISHA).
