4th Symposium Keynote: “Spirituality, Energy Healing and Anointing - What Makes the HT Spiritual Ministry Program Different”

This one and one-half (1 ½) hour keynote presentation will take place Sunday afternoon, April 25, 2010 from 1:30pm - 3pm at the HT CA 4th Annual Regional Symposium in San Diego (www.HealingTouchCalifornia.com for more Symposium info).  Included will be a Power Point visual.

Nearly 14 years ago, Janet Mentgen gave Linda Smith the task of setting up another division of the Healing Touch Program geared for those who wanted a language that would be specific for healing ministries. Today the Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry (HTSM) approach is part of an educational institute (Institute for Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy - ISHA) that now offers two certification programs, one in energy healing and one in aromatherapy.

This is more than a story–you will learn how HTSM evolved from and today expands the Healing Touch Community worldwide. Linda and Claramae will share with you some of HTSM’s unique approaches to the work of Healing Touch which we have all come to cherish.

Linda is the author of three self-published books:

• Healing Oils Healing Hands, Discovering the Power of Prayer, Hands On Healing, and Anointing (2003),
• Called into Healing, Reclaiming our Judeo-Christian Legacy of Healing Touch Revised Ed., (2006)
• Essential Oils for Physical, Emotional and Spiritual Health, (2005).

In addition she has authored 5 e-books and hundreds of free articles on the internet.

Claramae has been a part of Healing Touch since the early days and was among the first HT certified practitioners and instructors. Like Linda she aided Janet Mentgen as Janet developed her Healing Touch Program. For the past several years Claramae has been an instructor with Linda Smith and has assisted her in developing the Institute of Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy. Claramae teaches in both the Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry program and in the Certification in Clinical Aromatherapy program.  She has also been involved in the development of HT California since 2007, generously volunteering on the Symposium Committee each year and currently is serving on the newly formed HT CA Non-profit Board of Directors.

Both Linda and Claramae will take part in Anointing of Hands for all Symposium attendees during the Closing Ceremony

Bios:

Linda Smith RN, MS, HN-BC, HTCP, CCA is the creator and director of the Institute of Spiritual Healing & Aromatherapy and teaches nationally and internationally in both the Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry program and in the Certification in Clinical Aromatherapy program. Her vision is to bring hands-on healing back into our Christian communities. She delights in seeing the “light” go on in people’s eyes as they remember at some deep level that they are loved, that God means for them to be healed and that they in turn can help others move toward healing.

She has spent most of her life in church work as a nurse and teacher. Her health care background includes critical care nursing, nursing education, and home health and hospice care; her specialty is in compassionate care of the dying. She is certified in Holistic Nursing, Healing Touch and Clinical Aromatherapy. Presently she has a private practice in Healing Touch Spiritual Ministry and aromatherapy in the Denver Colorado area. In 1992, Linda was selected Holistic Nurse of the Year by the American Holistic Nurses Association for the outstanding example she presents in the healing arts. Over the past 15 years, she has taught nearly 500 workshops on healing. As a nurse-healer, teacher, mentor, and spiritual advisor, she has inspired many with her passion to restore healing to our Christian churches and ministries.

Claramae Weber, RN, HN-BC, CHTP, HTSM-CP/I, CCA is a certified holistic nurse with a wide variety of experiences. Having lived and travelled extensively in the world, she has a profound awareness of the oneness of us all. Fluent in Spanish, she is involved with bi-lingual and Spanish-speaking communities in California. Claramae has extensive teaching expertise in Creative Visualization. Her work reflects her ability to support each person’s discovery of their own spiritual healing energy.
